Run by Karl, Paolo, & Ian. A relaxing retreat in the middle of an Umbrian Valley in the countryside. There are 3 self contained suites and a swimming pool. A family friendly, gay friendly, in fact all are welcome. The grounds include eco friendly solar power. The Hosts Karl & Paolo are excellent cooks and excellent hosts. I am luckily friends of them and was welcomed with open arms into this establishment. Really though it feels like a family home, with the hosts also being Molly the free thinking cat, Ted the friendly dog, the chickens and the Siamese cat, who is very particular in who he treats as friends. The Sunflower suite which I stayed in is bright clean and everything you can need you just to need to ask your hosts, free Wi-Fi & sky to keep you in contact with the outside world from this idyllic retreat. I will definitely be returning again and cant recommend it enough.

This year we have spent our first time in Parrano at Stone House Retreat/Relais Antiche Pietre and we absolutely loved it! Yes, you do need to have a car, however compared to other holiday homes where we have been the road towards the house is quite good accesible so no problem there. We stayed in the Poppy appartment, overlooking the pool and garden. It was absolutely wonderful! Nicely decorated and all amenities you would be needing at your disposal. Including the breakfast basket, wine and even some fresh eggs! It is great to sit at the pool side and do some reading or apperitivo, however there are very nice places to visit in the neighbourhood as well. Our favorites definitely are Orvieto, Montepulciano, Siena and Todi. We loved all of it and certainly plan to come back again. Thank you guys for a wonderful stay, xxx Franck and Johan

Ci torneremo volentieri.

We were back for the 3rd time and it was perfect like always before. All 3 apartements are equiped with everything you need and have this special tough which makes you feel at home immediately. Extremely clean and very well mantained - any if there is anything you need - one of the hosts are always here with a helping hand. Although the road up the hill is a kind of challenge and sometimes you might think you got lost, BUT once you entered the gate you are in a different world. Warmly welcome by the dogs Ted & Chanel - who are extremely friendly - Ian, Karl and Paolo will make your stay to one of your best. The garden is mostly in Ian´s hands and he´s doing a fantastic job. As the property has only 3 units for rent - it´s never "crowded" at the pool and you have space more than enough to find a spot which fits your mood. Eggs from the chicken, fresh vegetables from the garden and the wide range of herbs will give your dinner the Italian spice. As the shops and the Coop-Supermarket in Fabro Scalo is appr. 20 Minutes drive away, you get a welcome basket with fresh fruits, and everything you need for breakfast (milk, juice, butter, jam, bread, tea, coffee, müsli, jogurt, etc.) for the first days. And for the first cosy evening - a bottle of red wine. Every apartement has his own little private terrace Apartment "Sunflower" -> Sunset on the terrace Apartment "Lavender" -> Sunrise on the terrace House "Poppy-seed" -> Sunrise on the terrace The pool-area is a clothing optional area which we like very much, Nice deck-chairs and a big umbrella are well prepared every morning for the guests. Lots of possibilities for daytrips, good train-connections to Rome or Florence, some little italian restaurants in the neighbourhood (you need to have a car - or maybe mountain-bikes!). As this "Little Paradise" - as we call it, is gay-owned, most of the guests are gay. BUT all guests are very welcome. I would name it "hetero-friendly" :-)

Just few words from France to thank you again for this relaxing week we've spent with Laetitia in your wonderful guest house. We come from another wonderful city on French Riviera, and we did need a special moment with nothing around us, except sun, trees, birds, and calm. We've found all of them at your place (even if we had to wait for the sun times to times !!!), and be sure we've left yesterday morning with more energy than we had when we arrived ! Thanks again for your kindless and your hospitality.

This is place is just perfect for a retreat. It's so peaceful. The owner and managers - Paolo, Karl and Ian invest, daily, a huge amount of time making sure the grounds are immaculate - an oasis amongst the deciduous forest of Umbria. They are very friendly too. The apartment was very spacious and well planned, everything worked well. Windows and doors out onto the 3 elevations. I used the pool around 3 times each day - it is in a gorgeous setting and the fact there are only 3 apartments in total makes it feel very exclusive. In summary - it is better than the photographs.

Tolle Wohnung mit allem was man braucht. Sehr sauber. Das beste "Check in" meines Lebens. Traumhafter Garten. Himmlische Ruhe. Unglaublich freundliche Gastgeber (Vielen Dank für das leckere Abendessen!). Wir fahren wieder hin! Besser gehts nicht!
